THE ARTIST

Jean Grae is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, director, writer and visionary.

Grae’s practice of RÉSONNER as visual artwork began in 2020, but her decades of creative work and general life practice have always aimed to honestly resonate and connect with full transparency. To be seen with authenticity, so all can be seen at all points in time along their journey. These ways of living, and creating combined with unconventional and expansive world building are always at play regardless of Grae’s chosen medium. All practices and content are interconnected, and Résonner is just one tactile version of the philosophy.

The consummate (almost native) New Yorker, uses experience, vulnerability and multidimensional work with mixed media on canvases and beyond, as simply another language in which to communicate and connect.

“The aim is to resonate, build our worlds for interconnectivity, and especially when we believe we are “not ready.” To challenge society and our own expectations of who we should, or can be. To trust ourselves when we feel the connection to something and elevate our spaces, ourselves and our alignments to our higher forms. And, also you can just like some colors, shapes, sounds and textures that make you feel something. Any-fucking-thing.”
