A moving closer look at the nature of L5 S1.
Detailing the everyday struggles with a degenerative spine condition. Tied and tangled up in a body also experiencing hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) the seemingly endless comorbidities, and AuDHD. It can feel as though you are a shadow of your former undiagnosed self, experiencing unseen constant disabilities and pain. Is it your spine, your nervous system? Or as connective tissue disorders go - everything all at once.
Overstimulated, impossible to unravel, holding your self together and dragging your body through existence.
It is persistent. It cracks, blares, crackles and stabs. Shiny and dull simultaneously. The compressed spaces between vertebrae, the exhaustive twists of it all. Everything is unstable, delicately and seemingly barely held on this too thin canvas.
(Don’t worry, the canvas is stable for you. Just not inside myself.)

This accompanying sonic field from RÉSONNER 1.212 highlights THE WOLF of chronic conditions. Instrumentation and sonic textures come from all directions. Main pains are rhythmic and constant, can feel like assaults. Others emerge in parts of the body and parade themselves across the field. Hospital ambience is wide but quiet - you can never get help there. The sound of your own body creaking, cracking, falling out of place is loud. And all of it can’t be seen by anyone.
Created from my POV for you to feel it. Designed to connect and fully immerse the listener.
Best experienced in headphones.
